A layout challenge was posted on the Silhouette blog. Use the challenge layout and your Cameo and see what you can come up with. I used my Cameo for cutting everything (including my photos) except for my journaling tag (which is inside the file folder). This was super fun and super easy. All of the cuts can be found in the Silhouette Store and I got lucky enough to have them already. Here is my photo:
The cuts that I used are as follows:
Project Life 4 x 6 cards by Lori Whitlock
Maine Title
Zigzag border
Star is from Superstar Retro Sign
My papers (except for some scraps for the aqua, teal and kraft) are all from The Great Outdoors paper pad from GCD Studio and twine is from the Twinery. I did a little distressing with Tim Holtz distress ink and that was it.
Hope you like it and hope you all had a great week and are having a great weekend.
I, also, designed and cut a St. Patrick's Day banner today with my Cameo. Haven't got it glued together yet, but, I will post soon.
Happy crafting.

TSG143 and RCC40 Challenges
Happy Saturday, Crafty Friends!! I have been busily, as usual, following my favorite blogs and am trying to work with some challenges to get my future cards created.
I am entering this card in two challenges:
There She Goes Color Challenge 143 to use Olive, Rose and Razzleberry
Ribbon Carousel Challenge using their sketch #40 and ribbon, twine, lace, thread--
On Wednesday, 2/15, while checking the blogs that I follow, Lisa at lisabarrie.blogspot.com had a post on how to design with Silhouette Cameo software. She was doing layouts, but, I though, what the heck, try it with a card sketch (from RCC #40) and, my gosh, it was a breeze. Laid everything out on my mat, picked out my papers, and just cut all the elements out in no time flat. Thank you Lisa.
For this card, I used Anna Griffin papers, Really Reasonable Ribbon, my Copics for the coloring and the Scootin By stamp set from There She Goes stamps. This stamp set is one of my favorites cause it is just so fun. Then, I broke out my Sew Easy tool (which I had never used) and thought I would give it a try for the stitching. Still don't think I really like it, but, I gave it a shot. Love this card and I hope you all do to.
Enjoy your day and, I will be back again with some more cards for challenges. Love these challenges and, especially, if there is a sketch involved to get my mojo going.

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone
I have been busy completing my projects for Valentine's Day and entering some challenges. I am now going to upload some of my creations and then get started on St. Paddy's Day.
Today, is our Anniversary. We are romantic old fools and I did not want Dear Hubby to be able to forget this most important day. TWENTY-FIVE years today and still loving every minute (almost) of our time. He is my best friend and my love. We have done so much and so much more to do. Great plans for this year and early next year. We are avid campers (RV'ers) and are now planning our "Bucket List" trip for next Winter to Louisiana and the South. Cannot wait. I need to plan everything out precisely as we will be leaving from up North in December to travel first to North Carolina to spend Christmas with the family and then to Florida to visit with friends and, drumroll please, then to Alabama and Louisiana along the Gulf of Mexico. The most challenging part is when we start back North in February. Finding campgrounds open in the Winter and praying for no snow is going to take a lot of planning.
Well, now I will upload my photos and then start getting ready to go out for dinner and celebrate our Day.
I still need to post a couple of birthday cards, but, I will do those in another post. Have a lovely day everyone.

SFYTT February Challenge and CAS-ual Fridays #39 Challenge
Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I am entering my card for my hubby into two challenges--SFYTT February Challenge and CAS-ual Fridays #39 Challenge. Here is the photo and then I will give details.
My papers for this card were from Core'dinations and BoBunny Gift of Love Persuasion Moments
My stamps were from Taylored Expressions--Capture My Heart, S.W.A.K. and Love Shack
Spellbinders Dies for the Large Circle
Inks--Memento Tuxedo Black and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Frayed burlap
I paper pieced the penguin using scrap card for the black body, the hat, the hearts, and the feet and the beak.
The sketch was obviously from SFYTT for the February Challenge.
Wish me luck and I have more cards to post later on.

SSSC152 Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge
Good Sunday afternoon to you all. Boy was I happy this morning when I saw this sketch challenge (SSSC152 for Sweet Sunday Sketches) posted. I was just getting ready to start my husband's anniversary card and this sketch just clicked for me. I knew what stamps and papers that I wanted to use, but, not the design. Well, here it is and done two days early.
My papers were from the Echo Park Time & Seasons collection and Coordinations Foundations Canvas Texture. The brads were from Happy Days by Bella Rd. for Echo Park. I used a die for the pennant from Lil' Inker Designs and my stamps are from the January Unity SMAK kit. I did the word began on my Silhouette Cameo in the AR Darling font as I did not have a stamp that said began.
Valentine's Day is our 25th anniversary and I wanted a special card for hubby. I love the way it turned out and will post the inside later.
Happy crafting to all.

IWC #68 ICopic Weekly Challenge
Here is a quick post for my entry into this week's ICopic Challenge # 68.
This card is based on a card by Jami Sibley (Jamiblogs.splitcoaststampers.com. All paper is from My Minds Eye Flip n Flirt and also from the Basic Grey 6 x 6 Kissing Booth Pad. My image stamp is from Taylored Expressions and is paper pieced and the cute little puppies are colored with my copics (which I am still learning to use). The sentiment is from Peach Keen.
I thought that it came out so cute for an almost 6 year old sweetheart.

Just a Quick Post Since It Has Been Quite a Long Time
Again, I have not posted in such a long time. Seems like I get so involved in my projects that I do not find time (or make the time) to update the blog. Shame, shame on me. I have several projects to post and will try to get to them later.
Since Valentine's Day is almost here and almost gone, I wanted to get myself ready to start on St. Paddy's day and decided to change the blog out for that (my almost favorite Holiday.)
We took a little trip to North Carolina to visit family in January and it was colder there than in Upstate New York. Had fun though and loved seeing the grandkids and my daughters and son-in-law. We don't see them nearly enough. Once we got home, I started on my Valentine's Day cards and gifts and still have two more cards to do--for my hubby. It will be our 25th anniversary, too, and that has to be a very special card. That is on my priority list for today. (First I have to get the craft room cleaned up so that I have room to work.) I know that everyone who crafts can relate to that.
I will sign off for now so that I can get crafting and hope to be back later today or tomorrow to upload some projects.
Have a very happy crafting day.
